Behaviour

Wellington Primary Academy pupils will learn how to work hard, study well and to be positive members of a multicultural society. We aim to prepare them for a future of success and wellbeing, whatever they choose to do in their lives. We expect the highest standards of behavior. Pupils and staff should show respect to each other at all times and, with this ethos, a strong and cohesive school community is created and sustained.

Our goals for behavior at Wellington Primary Academy are:

  • Pupils demonstrating exceptional behavior at all times.
  • Pupils knowing how to keep themselves and each other safe.
  • Above average levels of attendance.
  • For exceptional behavior of pupils to be recognised by parents, carers and the wider community.

Strong support from home is vital to success. Education works best with a strong link between home and school and we are fortunate to have extremely supportive parents and carers.

Our online support system allows secure access to the latest data on students from anywhere in the world and our website provides information and up to date news.

We appreciate that from time to time, you may wish to discuss your child’s progress. Throughout the year you will have the opportunity to attend parent’s evenings and your child’s teacher will usually be available for an informal chat at the end of the school day. If you need to spend longer in discussion then an appointment can be made at our earliest convenience.
