Wellington College Academy Trust sits as part of a broader family of schools linked to Wellington College.
Wellington College itself was founded over 150 years ago and is one of the leading independent schools in the UK. The College currently has over 1000 students aged 13-18, approximately 80% of whom are boarders. Situated in Crowthorne, Berkshire, the College has made a name for itself in the world of education, from pioneering links between the state and independent sectors to hosting the annual Sunday Times Education Festival.l.
Eagle House School was founded in Wimbledon in 1820 and today it is a thriving independent day and boarding school in Sandhurst for boys and girls aged 3 -13. Eagle House became part of Wellington College in 1968 and today the two schools are closely linked in many ways. Many boys and girls move onto Wellington and all Eagle House children benefit from the close interaction with the Wellington Family, whether it be shared teaching, music and drama opportunities, leadership activities or sporting events. Learning for Life is at the heart of Eagle House and children are given the best opportunities to learn and develop in a superb setting with excellent facilities.
The Wellington Academy
The Wellington Academy Wellington College is the proud sponsor of Wellington College Academy Trust in Wiltshire. Thanks to the initial generous donation of £2 million by a parent and governor of the College and huge investment by the government, a failing school located between Tidworth and Ludgershall was able to transform itself! The Academy opened its doors in 2009 on the site of Castledown School, while on adjacent land in rural Wiltshire an iconic, state-of-the-art new building was constructed. The students and teachers moved buildings in Spring 2011 and with this, the Academy took an even greater leap forward in its mission to change lives within the local community.
Wellington College International Tianjin
Wellington College International Tianjin was the first overseas partner school of Wellington College. It is a very special partnership. Whilst not the first British school to establish a branch in China, what is genuinely different about WCIT is the strength of the link back to the UK. This manifests itself in core aspects of ethos, regular pupil exchanges - in both directions, staff visits and inspections, collaboration between academic departments and Houses, and an internship programme for UK pupils.
Wellington College International Shanghai
Wellington College International Shanghaiopened in August 2014 for boys and girls, both boarders and day students. Located in the Pudong district, the College facilities are as good as any in the world of international education and, in their design and appearance, echo the distinctive classical style of Wellington College in the UK.
Wellington College China Bilingual Shanghai
