Wellington Primary Academy opened on a brand new purpose-built site in September 2014. Maximum expected number of pupils of 420 (when fully open) and a 30 place Nursery.

Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) x 2

6 ¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (44.23 weeks per year). £14,665 FTE (£2,073 per annum - £7.50 per hour)

We want to work with staff who share this ambition and who share our values which are excellence through rigorous learning of key skills within a rich and broad curriculum, holistic learning by developing the whole child, innovation in the way we teach and learn combined with collaboration with parents, the Wellington Family of schools, the military community and local primaries.

We are looking for 2 MDSAs who:-

  • Have previous experience of working with children
  • Can manage pupils behaviour and interactions in a positive manner
  • Are patient, calm, organised and adaptable
  • Can work well as part of a team
  • Are able to use their own initiative as well as take direction
  • Are enthusiastic and have a positive outlook
  • Are creative and are able to motivate children
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Can follow and support the school’s ethos, values and policies

Class Teacher with SENDCo Responsibilities – To start September 2017

Salary: MPS/UPS +TLR2 (Up to £6,000 dependant on qualifications and skill set)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic primary teacher with responsibility for SENDCo, who has a passion for learning and teaching and who is able to make an active contribution to the development of our school.

We are looking for a teacher who is:-

  • Creative and forward thinking
  • Committed to developing children as thinkers and developing a growth mindset
  • Able to develop cross-curricular approaches to learning
  • Excited and inspired by their work
  • Has experience of teaching across the primary age range
  • Able to work in partnership with all staff
  • Able to offer exciting enrichment and extra-curricular activities through our after-school Golden Eagle programme

As SENDCo, inclusion will be at the core of your values and you will display passion for ensuring every child truly matters and those identified with special educational needs and disabilities will be given the resources and opportunities to make good progress in line with their peers. The role will include part class teaching, part SENDCo duties and responsibilities. The Academy will be willing to pay for the successful candidate to register and complete the National SENCo qualification.

EYFS Teacher
Key Stage 1 Teachers x 2
KS2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) – All roles start September 2017

Salary: MPS

Due to the opening of new classes in September 2017 and the expansion of Wellington Primary Academy, we require teachers who have a passion for learning and teaching and who are able to make an active contribution to the development of our school. We are looking for an EYFS, KS1 teachers and a KS2 teacher who are:

  • Has experience of teaching across the primary age range would be advantageous (for KS1 and KS2 teacher roles)

Cleaners Required

Late afternoon/Early evening shifts of either 10 or 15 hours per week Salary: £7.50 per hour Grade 10

Cleaners are required for general duties to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for all Academy staff, students and members of the public.

The following work patterns are available at Wellington Primary Academy:

  • 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday (10 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks)

  • 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm, plus 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Nest Nursery (within the grounds of Wellington Primary) Monday to Friday (15 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks)
