Harriers Write to China

So we have been back for a full 3 weeks, summer seems like a distant memory! We hope the children are all settling back into the school routine and that all our new starters have enjoyed their first few weeks of school. So much learning has been taking place and it is our aim to keep you updated on what has been going on. Please share our Facebook and Twitter with fellow parents as we wouldn’t want you to miss any of the fantastic and exciting news coming out of the Primary Academy.

To kick us off here is a short report from Harriers Class (Year 5):

Harriers Class (Year 5) have been looking at China as part of their Passport to Paradise topic. In English, they have recently been learning about letter writing. This has provided an amazing opportunity for the children to write letters to the Year 5 students at Wellington College Tianjin, China! The children have introduced themselves and asked the children living and learning in China some questions. Miss Glenister scanned our letters and sent them attached to an email which we wrote together as a class (we didn't want to wait weeks for them to receive them in the post- we were too excited!). We are really excited to receive replies.

Well done Harriers Class!
